Hey there! Happy 2015 folks. I really can't believe it is already January again, but I love this time of year. I love taking a step back to reflect on the previous year and looking at what went well and what went not so well. What things do you want to do differently in 2015 and what things do you hope to do more of?
I want to have a more positive outlook on life this year and I also want to give more to others. I hope to continue taking fun trips with the mister and continue building my blog and TPT store. 2014 brought so many amazing memories with my wedding in June, making the move from Kindergarten to second grade, going to New York and California with hubby, and spending some awesome time with family. I get butterflies just thinking about 2015 as a blank page and I CANNOT wait to see what God has in store for all of us this year!
This little blog came to me this year and I could not be more grateful for that. I can come home from a crazy work week and get on to see tons of teachers just gushing about new ideas and new projects. At just the right time, it gives me the push I need to keep going and to stay positive about this little thing we call teaching. So thank you to the many teachers who I follow and who inspire this third year teacher to keep going!
I don't have anything fun to share with you because I have not been super productive over the holidays. We spent time in Louisiana and in California the last two weeks and I almost never came back to Texas. Walking along the beach in Newport hand in hand with my hubby was a highlight of the year for sure. We rang in the new year with Mickey and Friends and about five million others at Disney Land. Oh and meeting Usher was cool too....No really we were within two feet from Usher and I might have been shaking. We had a spontaneous lunch at the Rooftop Grill at the Montage and as we were leaving...there he was just sitting on his motorcycle. He turned us down for a picture and said he had to get on the road because he is Usher and he does what he wants when he wants. But it was still UH-mazing. This was the best picture we walked away with.
Needless to say we had an awesome holiday break and I REALLY wish it would last forever!
I am linking up with Farley over at Oh Boy 4th Grade for her January currently link up which you can find here. I am a little late to join, but better late than never right? (my husband would disagree with that statement) So here it is!
If you want to join, head over to Farley's blog and link up! Happy New Year and let's make it a great one!
